Dum la semestro, ni kunvenos lunde je 5:00 ptm en ĉambro 1120 de la konstruaĵo Foreign Language de la Universitato de Ilinojo. Nia unua lunda kunveno okazos la 10an de septembro.

Antaŭ tiam ni unu-du foje kunvenos ne-lunde:

Ĵaŭdon la 30an de aŭgusto

Ni kunvenos je 5:00 ptm en la subteretaĝo de la Illini Union (en la manĝo-korto). Kial? Ĉar Darsi vizitos!

Venu por diri “ĝis” al Darsi antaŭ si forias al la Universitato de Ĉikago. Ni ankaŭ iom planos la komencantan kurson.

Mardon la 4an de septembro

Ni kunvenos je 5:00 ptm en ĉambro 1120 de la konstruaĵo Foreign Language (sama loko kiel regulaj kunvenoj). Kial? Por enkondukas la lingvon al novaj membro. (Kiel mardon? Ĉar lundon estas Laborista Tago.)

Venu por renkonti la novaj membroj kaj komencigi la komencantan kurson.During the semester, we’ll be meeting Mondays at 5:00 PM in room 1120 of the Foreign Language Building. Our first Monday meeting will be September 10th.

Before that, we’ll meet a couple of times on non-Mondays:

Thursday August 30th

We’ll meet at 5:00 PM in the basement of the Illini Union (in the food court). Why? Because Darcy will be visiting!

Come say goodbye to Darcy before she heads off to the University of Chicago. We’ll also do a bit of planning for the beginners course.

Tuesday September 4th

We’ll meet at 5:00 PM in room 1120 of the Foreign Language Building (same place as our regular meetings). Why? To introduce the language to our new members. (Why Tuesday? Because Monday is Labor Day.)

Come meet the new members and kick off the beginners course.

  • Decembro 10an, ni renkontos normale
  • Decembro 17an, ni festos Zamenhof-tagon
  • Decembero 24an ĝis Januaro 14an, ni ne renkontos
  • Januaro 21an ni renkontos normale.

  • December 10th we’ll meet as usual
  • December 17th we’ll celebrate Zamenhof Day

Unua renkontiĝo hodiaŭ!First meeting today!

La unua renkontiĝo de la lernej-jaro okazos hodiaŭ, la 3an de septembro, je 5:15 ptm en ĉambro 323 de la konstruaĵo Natural History (la dua konstruaĵo oriente de la Student Union).

Ni diskutos:

  1. Demandojn pri Esperanto
  2. Planojn por la klubo ĉi-jare
  3. Ĉu ĉi tiu loko kaj tempo plaĉas al ĉeestantoj

Venu!  Ni havos manĝetojn!This semester’s first meeting of the Esperanto club will be TODAY, Thursday September 3rd, at 5:15 PM in room 323 of the Natural History Building (the second building east of the student union–Harker Hall is in between).

For interested people who can’t get there at 5:15 PM, a couple of us will show up at 4:15 PM to answer questions.

Please join us for the meeting if you can, or show up for the pre-meeting if that works better. There will be snacks!

Our main goals are to:

Answer any questions people have about Esperanto,
Talk about plans for the club this semester,
Find out if this meeting time and place will work going forward.

Diskuti novelonShort-story discussion

La temo de la venonta renkontiĝo (la 2an de julio) estos diskuto pri la novelo “Marvirinstrato” de Tim Westover, la titola novelo de lia nova novelaro.

Oni povas elŝuti la libron senpage, do eĉ homoj, kiu ne aĉetis ekzempleron povas partopreni.

Se iuj komencantoj volas partopreni, ni povas antaŭe kunigi por legi ĝin kiel grupo.  Esprimu intereson aŭ al la Esperanto_Champaign listo aŭ al info@ekoci.org.The topic of the next (July 2nd) meeting will be a discussion of the short story “Marvirinstrato” by Tim Westover, the title story of his new short story collection.

You can download the book for free, so even people who haven’t bought a copy can participate.

If any beginners want to participate, we can get together in advance to read it as a group.  Express interest either to the Esperanto_Champaign list or to info@ekoci.org.

Venu! Ni diskutos la ĵus finitan jarkunvenon de Esperanto-USA.Our regular meeting will take place at the usual time and place ( 5:00 PM at the Foreign Language building).

Come! We’ll discuss the just-ended annual convention of Esperanto-USA.

Malgraŭ finaj ekzamenoj, ni ja renkontos ĉi-semajne, je la normala tempo kaj loko.

  1. Ĉu ni renkontos venontan semajnon (ĵus antaŭ la jarkunveno en Sankta-luiso)?
  2. Ĉu ni renkontos dum la somero?
  3. Interparolado en Esperanto!

Despite final exams, we will meet this week at the usual time and place.
